Part of the data ring
FlyTime

About FlyTime

A calculator, not a booking funnel.

Why this exists

"How long is the flight to Tokyo" is a simple question, and most of the sites that answer it want to sell you a ticket first. FlyTime answers the question, shows the working, and gets out of the way.

Because everything is computed from coordinates rather than pulled from a schedule feed, the answers do not rot. An airline can drop a route tomorrow; the distance between two runways will be the same in a century.

Who runs it

Built and maintained by Amit Sharma in Auckland, New Zealand — a city that makes you take long-haul flights seriously — alongside a small family of free data tools at amit.marketing. Sister sites cover calories burned by activity and food nutrition data.

How it is funded

Google AdSense, and links to my own fitness challenge, PeakForm. No airline, booking site or travel brand pays for placement here, and no distance has ever been adjusted for anybody.
